Responsibility for the completion of the project belongs to the Spanish company Técnicas Reunidas. In addition, our Company makes the highest effort and continues its work with great devotion to commission this project as always, which will make a significant contribution to our country and economy in every sense, especially in production, employment, exports and deficit balance, as soon as possible. According to the latest information we have, production is expected to start in the second half of 2024.
With regard to the importance of the PTA project, the development of the project will be announced to the public through the Public Disclosure Platform and SASA website channels.
- The Fire Water System, one of the auxiliary units of the plant, was completed as of September 2023.
- The Cooling Tower, Instrument and Plant Air Facility, and Nitrogen Production and Storage Facility were completed as of October 2023.
- Demineralized Water and Storage Facility was completed as of December 2023.
- Laboratory equipment installation and testing has started as of December 2023.
- Electrical Substation and Control Room was activated as of December 2023.
- Administrative Building was activated as of December 2023.
- As of February 2024, commissioning works have begun for HP Steam Boiler and Fuel Gas System Units.
- As of February 2024, the purchasing and storage of Paraxylene, the raw material of PTA, has been started.
- Laboratory was activated as of February 2024.
- Steam Generation and Gas Combustion Unit was completed in March 2024.
- In April 2024, commissioning works have been commenced for Wastewater Treatment Unit (ETP–WWTP Facilities).
